Installation with blue neon, 2015
H 36 × W 43 × D 25 cm
A bust with closed eyes and a bowed head emerges from the darkness, bathed in an intense blue light. A neon tube cuts diagonally through the composition, and its sharp, almost violent presence contrasts with the stillness of the figure.
The light transforms the ceramic surface and gives the face an almost immaterial presence. Suspended between the physical and the psychological, Introspection explores the boundary between the inner world and the forces that surround it.
